Goalkeeping legend joins Arsenal

                     A transfer saga which seems to be going on for ages at last came to an end when Chelsea legend Petr Cech joined Premier League rival Arsenal. Speculation about the transfer had been going on for a long time as Cech lost his place in the starting eleven of Chelsea, to Thibaut Courtois last season, and with Arsenal looking for a World class goalkeeper, having failed to replace their own goalkeeping legend David Seaman.

                       While at Chelsea Petr Cech won 13 trophies including one Champions League and four Premier League titles. He played more than 400 club games in 11 seasons at Stamford Bridge.He also set a club goalkeeping record of 228 clean sheets in all competitions. Arsenal paid almost £10m. for Cech, who has signed a four-year contract.

                         In other news Tottenham's Brazil midfielder Paulinho have signed .for Chinese champions Guangzhou Evergrande for £9.9m. It was surprising news as he was heralded as one of the rising star of Brazillian football when he joined Spurs in 2013 from Brazilian side Corinthians for nearly £17m. He made a total of 67 appearances for the club. He will be reuniting with former Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, who signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Guangzhou this month.
